SureShip™ can be used to store, assign, and track the usage status on serialized pallet license numbers.
This article describes how pallet license numbers are preset and how they behave.
SureShip Customer Management
The SureShip Customer Management form is used to determine which customer ship-to addresses require pallet licensing, pre-load pallet license numbers onto a specific customer ship-to address, and review previous used pallet license numbers. It is accessed from the SureShip Console during unit packaging.
Adding a pallet license number to a customer ship-to address
- On the SureShip Console, click the Customer Mgmt button.

- The SureShip Customer Management form will be displayed for the corresponding customer ship-to address. Verify that the Requires Pallet License checkbox is enabled and update if necessary.

- Click anywhere inside the Pallet Licenses table and click Create a new object in the current collection.
- Enter the appropriate License Num (number).

CloudSuite™ Industrial’s standard Paste Rows Append functionality may be used to add many pallet license numbers at once.
- Click Save.
Reviewing the status of existing pallet license numbers for a customer ship-to address
- On the SureShip Console, click the Customer Mgmt button.

- The SureShip Customer Management form will be displayed for the corresponding customer ship-to address. Review the following columns on the Pallet Licenses table.
- The Stat (status) field indicates whether a license number is active, packaged, or shipped.
- For previously used license numbers, Ref Type states whether the number is currently found on a pre-packaged Pick List or a Bill of Lading.
- For previously used license numbers, Ref Num and Ref Pkg specify the Pick List/BOL and package that the number was applied to.

When are pallet license numbers applied?
Pallet license numbers will appear during unit packaging on the SureShip Console, or while pre-packaging Pick Lists on the SureShip PrePack Console. The next available license number will be automatically applied to any freight package types intended for a customer ship-to address requiring pallet licensing.
What happens if there are not enough available license numbers for a shipment?
If a customer ship-to address requires pallet licensing and the number of pallets added exceeds the number of available license numbers, an error message will appear and the unlicensed pallets will be removed from the BOL/Pick List.
