Setting up high-level parameters for SureShip™

Setting up high-level parameters for SureShip™

Introduction

High-level parameters are initially set by an AIT Business Services technical resource during installation, according to the determined requirements of your specific ERP system. Additional configuration may become necessary over time in response to system updates or changing business needs.

This article may be used as a guide to understand and update these parameters as needed.

Locations

The Locations form is used to set up stockroom locations in CloudSuite™ Industrial, including those referenced by AIT Custom Parameters and Inventory Parameters.

The SureShip Staging Location checkbox is used to designate separate interim staging locations for units that have been selected on a Pick List or Bill of Lading (BOL), but have not yet been completely processed. You may select more than one SureShip staging location if your company tracks movement of units through multiple staging locations.

You should only enable the SureShip Staging Location checkbox on dedicated staging locations. Locations that are used for inventory stocking purposes should not be used.

Inventory Parameters

The Inventory Parameters form is used to configure settings related to intermediate staging locations, and shipping unit of measure.

  • Packing LocationDesignates the pack staging location that units will be moved to when a Pick List is staged or a Bill of Lading (BOL) is created.
  • Shipment Weight U/MSpecifies the unit of measure to be used for shipping packages.

AIT Custom Parameters

The AIT Custom Parameters form contains a collection of keys used to configure various shipping defaults, flags, static data on shipping documents, and other settings related to day-to-day operation of SureShip™. The subordinate fields found under each key are defined below.
