Setting up Label Printers

Setting up Label Printers

Introduction

Label printers may be used to print API labels or non-API labels.

This article describes how to set up and view label printers in the SureShip™ module.

SureShip Printer Config

The SureShip Printer Config form is used to review and modify the description of any label printer on your company network that SureShip™ has access to and set up new label printers. Each label printer receives a unique system-assigned Printer ID number, which can be used to attach it to specific computer workstations (kiosks), though an optional Description may be set for easy identification.

To set up a label printer:

  1. Click Create a new object in the current collection.
  2. Enter the appropriate device UNC Name using the following format: \\servername\printerpath
Notes
Please contact your company’s server administrator for additional guidance.

  1. Click Save.
