Adding packages to BOLs using the SureShip Console

Adding packages to BOLs using the SureShip Console

Introduction

The SureShip Console can be used to add packages to Bills of Lading (BOL) and allocate units into those packages. Packaging is the second step of the packing and shipping procedure, after BOL creation and before setting shipping options.

This article describes how to add and remove packages on an existing BOL, add and remove units from a package, add self-contained items and packages, and set package weights.

Refer to this article for additional information about palletization of freight shipments.

Verify that the  Pack Scan tab is displayed for the correct  BOL before proceeding.
Use the Packed and Remaining fields on the upper-right corner of the form to determine progress made on unit packaging. This information can also be determined by Items tab row colors on the lower-right corner of the form – yellow indicates unpackaged units, and green indicates already packaged units.
