Selecting units picked using SureShip Pick Staging

Selecting units picked using SureShip Pick Staging

Introduction

When creating a Bill of Lading (BOL) from a Pick List, the SureShip Console will automatically select units from on hand inventory, starting with the earliest-ranking, nettable item stockroom location (excluding SureShip staging locations).

For companies that prefer to have more manual control over inventory allocation, the SureShip Pick Staging form may be optionally used to specify the exact location and quantity of units to be used when converting a Pick List to a BOL.

This article describes how to use Pick List staging to select specific units in inventory for allocation to a BOL.

Verify that the appropriate Pick List(s) have been created before proceeding.

Use the  Picked and  Remaining fields at the top-enter of the form to determine progress made on unit picking.

Once a Pick List is staged it cannot be deleted directly from SureShip Pick Maintenance. To reverse a staged Pick List, convert it to a BOL and undo the BOL.

Pick List staging

  1. Use the fields at the top of the form to search for Pick List lines based on one or more of the following criteria:
  1. Pick List: Search for Pick List numbers in a specific range.
  1. Customer: Search for Pick List lines whose associated customer number falls in a specific range.
  1. Item: Search for a specific range of Pick List line items.
  1. Cust PO: Search for Pick List lines whose associated customer Purchase Order number falls in a specific range.
  1. Ref Type: Search for Pick List lines based on the type of order that the Pick List was created to fulfil.
  1. Order: Appears after selecting a Ref Type. Search for a specific range of order numbers.

  1. The search table below will be updated to display all Pick List lines that meet your filter criteria. Use one of the two methods described below to select all units to be staged. The Pack Location is automatically populated for each line and should be verified or updated as needed.

The  Pack Location is the SureShip Staging Location that selected units on the current Pick List line will be moved to when staged.

  1. Click Stage.

Selecting units to be staged

Method 1: Staging units by updating a pre-populated grid

  1. In the search table below, review all Qty PickedPick LocationLot (if applicable), S/N (if applicable), and/or Container Num data. Manually update as needed until table values are correct for all units to be staged.

Method 2: Staging units one at a time, or in custom quantities

  1. Click Scan. All location, lot, serial number, container, and quantity data will be cleared from the search table below, and the Picked quantity will reset to zero.

  1. From the Scan section on the upper-right corner of the form, select or scan the appropriate Pick ListItemLoc (picking location), Lot (if applicable), QtyS/N (if applicable), and/or Container Num to be staged. The search table below will be updated accordingly.

  1. Repeat the previous step until table values are correct for all units to be staged.
